Are you the outdoor enthusiast type, and like heading out into the wild for a good bout with nature. Or maybe you simply prefer the peaceful side of life, and crave a break from the madness called stressful suburbia. Regardless of your motives, the great outdoors is always waiting for you. Do you have the necessary survival supplies when you go camping, hiking, rock climbing, or kayaking? Or maybe you think survival supplies are for the amateurs. We are talking about your safety here; not to mention the safety of the ones you love adventuring with you.
Growing up in a country setting, I have always been an adamant believer in good supply of survival supplies. You simply must do your homework before grappling with that beast we call nature. It's true, the outdoors can be a serene, stress free, and relaxing environment, but it is also a fact that the great wilderness can get nasty in a hurry. What if someone gets snake bite, twist a ankle, or get cut while whittling a stick? These and many other possibilities are common occurrences in the real world.
The key is thinking and planning ahead. Purchase the right survival supplies before you venture out on that date with nature. Some of the more handy and useful survival supplies I tend to take along are; a good knife, a first aid kit, a poison extractor, waterproof matches, nutrition bars, and extra clothing. Growing up in a nature-loving family, I certainly got started at an early age.
Most of these basic supplies you probably already recognize. However, if you have never seen a poison extractor before, let me fill you in. These are very simple and rather cheap life savers and readily available online. They work on snake bites and bee stings. If you ever do need one, it could be a real life saver.
A great place to begin your search for survival supplies is the Internet starting with the resources provided below. Cyberspace is packed with stores that offer a plethora of survival supplies to say the least. Pretty much anything you can dream up, they most likely have it. My favorite place to shop for new survival supplies in a web site called Tadgear.com, the customer service is outstanding and the prices are always low.
